Is my store really required to do this?
If you are a US person or company, US sanctions apply to you with no minimum size — the same rules that produced a $41,591 settlement against a company with fewer than 100 employees. UK and EU businesses carry equivalent obligations under their own regimes. This is general information, not legal advice; your specific obligations depend on what you sell and where.
What happens when there's a false positive?
You always make the final call. The plugin never cancels an order on its own — it puts it on hold, shows you exactly what matched and why, and gives you one click to dismiss. Dismissed customers stop flagging, and every decision is recorded in your audit trail.
Will it slow down or break my checkout?
No. Screening happens after the order is created, not during payment, and it fails open by default — if our API is unreachable, the order goes through untouched and is queued for screening once service returns.
What happens to my customers' personal data?
Names are sent for matching and the result is stored for your audit trail. Nothing is sold, shared or used to train anything. A data processing agreement is available for EU and UK merchants, and you can set your own retention period.
Doesn't my payment provider already cover this?
Only partly, and only for their own exposure. They screen the payer to protect their banking licences; they do not see your ship-to names, they do not cover bank transfers or offline payments, and their compliance is not a defence for yours.
When can I use it?
